Santa Fe Ave Hotel

Hotel Los Angeles
Santa Fe Ave Hotel is a boutique urban ryokan in Los Angeles, reimagining a 1920s firehouse. Designed by APlace Design, the project emphasizes material honesty and minimalist calm, blending raw concrete, hand-applied plaster, and soft lighting with fully customized furniture and fixtures.

Santa Fe Ave Hotel

Hotel Los Angeles
Completed in 2022, Santa Fe Ave Hotel transforms a historic firehouse on Santa Fe Avenue into a contemporary urban retreat. APlace Design embraced adaptive reuse with a focus on craft, integrating textured plaster, raw concrete, and warm lighting to balance industrial heritage with serenity. All furniture, lighting, and fixtures were custom designed, including mirrors and sinks crafted with ultra-thin concrete that preserves the rough surface of the original structure. The result is a boutique hotel that offers both intimacy and architectural depth, reflecting Los Angeles’s evolving urban identity.
